Meet Dr. J. Mark Saunders
Dr. Saunders moved to Holden Beach as a child in the early 1970’s. He attended West Brunswick High School, then went on to UNC Chapel Hill as an undergraduate student. He graduated from Southern College of Optometry, with honors, in 1990, and moved back to Brunswick County, where he has practiced Optometry since.
Dr. Saunders is married to Abigail Saunders, who practices Law in Horry and Charleston counties. When not in his office in Shallotte, Dr. Saunders can be found with Abby: boating, fishing, or walking the beaches with his trusty metal detector.
